(Feel free to use this press
release on your website, magazine, blog or anywhere else, but please add a link

wherever you post the content)
After years working in the fashion industry for brands like American Apparel &
Quiksilver, Mr.Moon & Nature323 established their own brand 'Pistache' in
London, 2003. Like a fighter with a chip on his shoulder, Pistache has been on a
mission.... to produce the best quality screen printed t-shirts available. As
well as creating limited edition graffiti caps, skateboards, mixtapes & other
artwork, with minimum impact on the environment & maximum impact when you wear
them. Pistache doesn’t use any machinery in the screen printing process, it’s
all done by hand with eco-friendly inks.
Before Pistache, Mr.Moon was an MC with renowned UK Hip Hop Crew Dupa Styles
(with Yungun, Devise & Harry Love) & member of pirate hip hop radio station
Parlay FM. So, naturally Pistache started out by clothing personal friends from
the UK Hip Hop scene. Since then, Pistache has made all sorts of organic music
connections with artists like DJ Mr Thing, Yarah Bravo, Asaviour, DJ Vadim, DJ
Excalibah, Guru, Mark De Clive Lowe, Nigel NK, Harry Love, MC Wrec, The Infadels,
Soweto Kinch, Tommy Evans, Evil Ed, Verb T, DJ IQ, GTA, Chima Anya, DJ Stirfry,
DJ Kojak & Infinite Potential.
Pistache has been featured in a load of magazines like fashion industry bible
Streetwear Today, Japanese fashion magazines Street Jack & Spymaster, as well as
Touch, UK Hip Hop mag Undercover, Hooker, Blowback, Who's Jack, Hip Hop
Connection, Wavelength, Pit Pilot, Carve & Bomb Alert. Pistache has also been
Graffing some Custom Kicks & Caps for a new TV show which is hosted by Radio
1Xtra's Mistajam & features UK Hip Hop & Grime Artists like Tinie Tempah,
Chipmunk, Skepta, Scorcher & Staplehouse, Bashy, Mo Ali & Goldielocks.
Pistache released it’s first UK hip hop mixtape 'Beats'n'Rhymes Vol.1’ mixed by
DJ IQ. The mixtape features UK hip hop artists Yungun, Klashnekoff, Harry Love,
Mr Thing, Kyza, Asaviour, Braintax, Lowkey, Blade, Doc Brown, Tommy Evans,
Reveal, Stylah, Yogi, Rukus, Ty, Verb T, Confuscius, Eric Lau, Genesis Elijah, L
Roneous, DJ IQ, Kashmere, Mr Tibbs, Devise, Infinite Potential, Amber MC,
Twisted Link, Wordsmith, GTA, Brotherman & Solisai as well as US Hip Hop legends
KRS1, Chuck D & Immortal Technique…… Vol.1 is still available to download or buy
on CD from the Pistache Online Store. Look out for exclusive new releases in the
'Pistache Presents' series.
The Pistache Boys do almost all of the design work themselves, but sometimes
they collaborate with underground graffiti writers & graphic designers like
Board Chicks & Lady Luck to help keep the designs fresh. Pistache Clothing also
has it's own Extreme Sports Team featuring Karl Frampton, Marco Vicari,
Sebastien Lopez, Eugene Tollemache & Louis Selby.
Pistache does very limited collections for independent urban & hip hop retailers
in the USA, Japan, France, Spain & Belgium, but their main focus is online,
forming direct relationships with their customers & providing them with the
ability to get involved & fully customize all aspects of their clothing.
The Pistache Boys are making their lives, and the brand, even more eco-friendly
by growing a sustainable Paulownia Plantation on 4.5 acres of disused
agricultural land. The O2 produced by the Paulownia trees should more than
offset the CO2 produced from shipping Pistache orders worldwide.
Following the blueprints laid down by the original Streetwear Kings like Stussy
& Fresh Jive, Pistache is flowing in the veins of different subcultures from UK
Hip Hop to Graffiti & from Grime to Skateboarding. The Pistache Boys are
sticking to their mission to produce the best quality t-shirts, graffiti caps,
skateboards & mixtapes with minimum impact on the environment & maximum impact
when you wear them.
Hip Hop Clothing, Urban Clothing,
Streetwear, whatever you want to call it, we call it Pistache...
