Who is Nadine? Pistache Review

Who is Nadine? She’s an entertainer, blogger, multi-tasker & general ass-kicker from Cape Town, South Africa. You can read Nadine’s Pistache review on her blog. Nadine sent us a few words on what she’s up to at the moment & where she’s headed in the future.

“(This has) been the year that just reassured me that I want to be an entertainer… I did three shows last year: Fame the Musical, In Living Colour and Ert Locker… I love being on the stage, singing, dancing and acting…I want that life. So badly. And I’m going to get it. I’m not letting anyone hold me back anymore and tell me that I can’t. This is MY time and whoever wants to talk me down can take a sip from my cup of care. I’ve decided to start believing in myself before anything else…I often get told I’m not good enough by friends around me or that I’m stupid and stuff and I know they don’t mean it, they’re just messing around saying dumb shit…but somewhere along the line I started believing it… But not anymore. The worst thing you can do is underestimate me.”

Don’t worry Nadine, we won’t!

Here’s the 1st video we shot of our new vintage denim hot pants for our LOWBROW DIY video series. We’ve been digging in the right places in France to find the best vintage denim for our limited edition ‘Pistache Vintage Denim’ collection. We’ve also found some amazing vintage fabrics that we’ve used to add some spice to our collection. They also feature limited edition tags that have been screen printed by hand by Pistache. These are all one off pieces, not to be repeated. No models were harmed or forced to lose 10lbs for the photos and videos on our site.

We put out an online ad for an assistant to help us at the Margin Upscale Streetwear Tradeshow in London. We wanted to give a young fashion student a chance to see a side of the fashion industry that you don’t experience at uni…. not really, we’re just lazy bastards who like to abuze the work experience system. To our surprise, a lot of people were interested, but Ashleigh was by far the most motivated & qualified person who got in touch, so we were happy to help her out, which helps us out, which helps her out.
